Work Work Work

So I seem to only do blog posts when something big happens or when I go on a trip but I realized I was skipping out on a large part of my life this summer.. work. I work at the pool teaching swim lessons and love it, but will admit it is definitely work. I have worked at Rancho Solano's pool for the past 3 summers and realize this may be my last because of Dental Hygiene School. So although 88 hours at the pool in 2 weeks is exhausting, I really do love my job and these kids.

Tray- one of the kids I teach and Audrey
they became friends and are two of the cutest kids in the world

Working a swim meet- Madi and I are swim team coaches
Madi and I keep each other sane during the endless hours of lessons, meets, and camps

Bailey and Izzy
during one of the sports camp

The whole group

So my dad's phrase of "some must work so some can play" is definitely true- and I'm glad to say that this summer I'm not only playing hard, but working hard as well.

Savy Turned Two!!

Savannah had a birthday on June 11 and I can't believe she is already two. She is such a fun little girl and I love her so much. I remember last year I was still at school on her birthday so I was so happy to be home this year and get to celebrate with everyone at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom.

Rachel's Class

My sister Rachel teaches a second and third grade class in San Leandro so my mom and I went out one afternoon to visit her and her cute kids. Since we were going in to the classroom she asked me if I wanted to talk to her students at all so I talked to them about brushing their teeth- I know, typical for the future dental hygienist :)

Showing them how to properly brush their teeth with "Tony" the giraffe.

It was so fun to see her teach and to see how much her students love her. Whenever people ask her if she has children she says she has 25 from 8 to 3 which is the total truth. She is a great teacher and I am so glad I got to go and see her with her kids. Thanks for having us Rach!
